Inspired by an intrepid polar adventurer, this bandanna was created as a challenge to blend both crochet and knitting together! And of course as any seasoned adventurer would know, keeping a pristine bandanna intact would be rather impossible, so some shapework tearing was added for a more authentic feel. Whether you want your own creation to be battle tested or brand new, I hope you enjoy this exercise in blending techniques!

You will be alternating crochet and knitting for this pattern. You can also omit the "torn" areas for a solid shaped bandanna

Blocked Bandanna Measurements:

19" L x 52" W

Materials Needed:

• You will need approximately 450 yds, or 7 ounces of DK weight yarn to complete the bandanna at the listed size.
• 4.5mm crochet hook
• 5mm crochet hook
• 4mm with a 32" cable knitting needles
• One 5mm knitting needle to bind off

The yarn used in the photos is WoolaBull hand dyed superwash merino in the shade lava. If I don't have this currently listed and you want some yarn in that color, or another shade, just reach out and I will be happy to get some dyed up for you!
