Worms on a string, squirmies, or those weird fuzzy things, whatever you may have heard them called, they are cute! A 1970's toy that I found and loved in the 90's needed a spindle design of course. The fact that spinning rolags also looks similar to these derpy little critters makes for an especially fun retro experience!

Each Drop Spindle is hand made from laser cutting my designs onto the front and back of 1/4" thick poplar wood, shaping the hardwood dowels, and shaping the hook.

The spindles are sanded numerous times, and coated in a wax conditioner. They are not finished or sealed as I prefer just waxing them, however after a thorough wash you could seal them with your preferred method!

I use Howards Feed-N-Wax to give the wood a warm tone and shine. This product can easily be found in many hardware stores.
